Lorie E Shipp

Lorie Shipp is a professional hairstylist, working for Josephine’s Day spa and Salon since 2009.

Lorie’s favorite part of her work is the creativity involved, satisfaction of helping a client look and feel their best and it allows her to interact with a wide range of interesting people. Also, sharing the excitement of special occasions is also very satisfying.

Lorie studied Cosmetology in Houston at Academy of Hair Design and received her certification in 1984. She has also studied under the tutelage of Vidal Sassoon, Paul Mitchell, Toni & Guy and Aveda in shear, razor cutting and technical hair coloring. She studied business and marketing of the beauty industry with Neill Corporation’s NQC.

Despite her active career, Lorie makes time to be involved with community organizations. She volunteers her time helping women and children at the Women Shelter with their grooming needs.

Lorie lives in Houston, Texas; she has two grown daughters who are married and four grandchildren. Her favorite hobbies when not working include the cultural arts, metal-smithing, gardening and reading.
